Sometimes the boundaries of work and play blur. This spring we collaborated with Subaru and Canoe and Kayak Magazine to make a short web film for Grind TV right in our backyard of Hood River. I think this project was so fun because of the fact that our crew and the talent – whitewater kayaker Christie Eastman and writer Joe Jackson – were just a group of friends who love to adventure in this awesome natural playground in Oregon. Beyond the RED Epic, we were visually able to push this piece to a new dimension using our hexacopter for aerial perspectives of wooded, rain-slicked roads and rushing river and the GoPro Hero3 for POV shots from the kayak and Subaru.
