Maser Films

About

Maser Films is the production company of three-time Emmy Award winning director and DP Andy Maser. For nearly two decades Andy has brought the same eye and the same commitment to every project — from broadcast spots and brand films to streaming series and IMAX documentaries.

We're passionate about making work that is intimate, character-driven, and crosses cultures, geographies, and ways of life to find the humanity we all share.

Maser Films guides projects through every stage of production: concept, pre-production, production, and post, while always staying true to our clients' goals. After filming in remote wilderness, culturally sensitive communities, and physically extreme locations around the world, it takes a lot to shake us. We're a steady creative partner who knows how to deliver, whatever the challenges.

Andy Maser

I began experimenting with film at sixteen, but my career officially began two months after college when I got my first gig with National Geographic making a film in Papua New Guinea. From there the work expanded. Documentary series and films for National Geographic, Netflix, and HBO, brand campaigns for Toyota, Timberland, and Land O'Lakes, and most recently two films as cinematographer playing in IMAX theaters worldwide.

From the most remote jungle of Congo to the underground temples of Rome, I immerse myself in the lives of farmers and CEOs, tradespeople, athletes, and historians, wildlife and indigenous communities, always looking for the moments that connect us.

Born in Baltimore. Based in sunny Santa Barbara, California.
